‘Christopher Chaos’ Gets Oversized Halloween One-Shot
Fresh off the release of the series’ tenth issue & first collected volume this week, Dark Horse announced The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos: Halloween Special which will hit shelves October 2nd with a main cover by David Talaski and a variant cover by Jeff Lemire.
The 48-page one-shot will feature five short stories that celebrate the world of Christopher Chaos. After originating the series in his personal Substack, James Tynion IV rejoins the Chaos team for one of the stories alongside series’ artist Isaac Goodhart for a story focused on Adam Frankenstein & Viveka. In another story, series’ writer Tate Brombal pairs with legendary artist Phil Jimenez to introduce a brand new monster to the Chaosverse. Brombal also writes another story, this one with artist Morgan Beem, for a tale featuring Christopher in a Halloween long past. Rounding out the book are Chaos veterans Soo Lee and Nick Robles, who will each write and draw their own individual stories!

MILWAUKIE, Ore., (June 19, 2024)— Dark Horse Comics and Tiny Onion present The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos: Halloween Special, a fantastically frightful 48-page one-shot issue featuring five short comics that celebrate the world of Christopher Chaos.
James Tynion IV and Isaac Goodhart tell a story of family and loss featuring the characters Adam Frankenstein and Viveka. Tate Brombal and Phil Jimenez introduce a wild new monster far above the Arctic Circle. Back in Briar City, Brombal is joined by Morgan Beem (Crashing, Swamp Thing: Twin Branches) for a sweet and spooky story of young Christopher during a Halloween long past. And finally, Soo Lee (Carmilla: The First Vampire) and Nick Robles (Sandman Universe—The Dreaming: Waking Hours) both write and draw their own bewitching stories that will leave you breathless and terrified for All Hallow’s Eve!
