Covers Revealed for ‘X-Men: Age of Revelation Overture’

The X-Men’s world is about to take a dramatic turn with the upcoming Age of Revelation event launching in October. Set 10 years in the future, this new era introduces a mutant utopia built by Revelation (Doug Ramsey), the heir of Apocalypse who now poses a threat to Earth’s very own existence. The stage will be set with X-Men: Age of Revelation Overture #1, a one-shot from writer Jed MacKay and artist Ryan Stegman, that paves the way for a lineup of alternate X-titles.

After gaining acceptance among Cyclops' X-Men, Revelation embarked on a daunting mission bequeathed by Apocalypse. Using his extraordinarily enhanced linguistic mutant power, he must craft a mutant utopia where his voice his law and only the strongest thrive. However, this haven is built on deception, and its expansion comes at a devastating cost, displacing humanity and paving the way for a mutant-dominated world. Yet rebels emerge, including a rogue X-Men team who challenge Revelation's regime.
