Cult Classic ‘Body Bags’ Gets Artist’s Edition Treatment

Skybound and Image Comics, in partnership with Act 4 Publishing and 12-Gauge Comics, shared a first look at Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition, an oversized 240-page collection of Pearson’s original art arriving later this year.

The volume collects the complete Body Bags miniseries alongside short stories, covers, and promotional pieces, all scanned and printed at the original 12” x 17” drawing size. Michael Golden’s covers from the original miniseries are also included.

For the uninitiated, Body Bags follows Mack “Clownface” Delgado and his daughter Panda through a brutal world of bounty hunters and assassins. Created, written, and illustrated entirely by Pearson, the series became one of the most talked-about books of its era. Beyond his own creations, Pearson also contributed work on Deadpool, Punisher, X-Men, and Batman over the course of his career.

The Body Bags edition is part of the ongoing Act 4 and Skybound partnership, with additional upcoming releases including George Pérez’s The New Teen Titans Artist’s Edition, The Amazing Spider-Man by Steve Ditko Artist’s Edition, and DC Silver Age Covers and Stories Artist’s Edition.

Jason Pearson’s Body Bags Artist’s Edition is on sale October 20th at comic shops and October 27th at bookstores for $150.
