DC Reveals ‘All In’ Initiative Launching this Fall

In an announcement on DC Comics’s YouTube channel, writers Scott Snyder & Joshua Williamson finally shared more information on the publisher’s upcoming initiative.

Snyder & Williamson will team up w/ Wes Craig & Daniel Sampere for DC All In Special #1, which will shelves in October. The issue will be a flip book with two separate stories; one for Superman & the other for Darkseid. This special issue will help to transition readers from the fallout of the current ‘Absolute Power’ event into this initiative’s new universe.

Spinning out of this special issue, Williamson also revealed he will be working on the new universe’s Superman title, where we’ll meet a new Superwoman & see the reintroduction of the classic villain Doomsday.

While the publisher hasn’t released an official list of creative minds that will be part of ‘All In’ just yet, multiple creatives took to social media to let fans know they will be involved in some capacity. These are the names I’ve seen so far:

  • Joshua Williamson

  • Scott Snyder

  • Tom Taylor

  • Ram V

  • Kelly Thompson

  • Jeff Lemire

  • Jason Aaron

  • Dan Watters

  • Torunn Grønbekk

  • Dan Mora

  • Nick Robles

  • Skylar Partridge

  • Wes Craig

  • Jahnoy Lindsay

  • Hayden Sherman

  • Elliott Kalan

  • Lucas Gattoni

  • Chris Condon

  • Joe Glass

  • Mikel Janín

  • Dexter Soy

I’m still trying to wrap my head around what all this means & how different titles are going to work with one another, but Williamson confirmed that all stories will somehow tie-in to a main narrative that plays out over the next two years.
