DSTLRY is Back, Get Your Pull List Ready
After a publishing pause that left readers waiting, DSTLRY has officially announced its return. The indie premium-format publisher sent word this week that a wave of new issues and collected editions is on the way. However, because the pause was due to distributor changes, all previous comic shop orders for upcoming DSTLRY books were cancelled. If you had their titles on your pull list, those orders may no longer be active. The publisher is asking readers to contact their local comic shop and re-confirm pre-orders before it's too late.
The return wave kicks off with the concluding issues of three ongoing series: The City Beneath Her Feet #3, White Boat #3, and White House Robot Romance #3. Two hardcover collections round out the wave: The Big Burn and Warm Fusion. DSTLRY says each of these books is finished and ready to print, so there shouldn't be any further delays once orders are confirmed.
The bigger debut in this announcement is A Mischief of Magpies #1, a new three-issue series from Simon Spurrier and Matías Bergara. All three issues are already complete and in the publisher’s hands. DSTLRY is pitching the book to fans of The Neverending Story, Arcane, and The Boy and the Heron. With this creative team, that's not an unreasonable comparison.
