First Look at Marvel's Pride Month Lineup
Marvel revealed a first look at Wiccan & Hulkling: Raid of Ultron #1, this year's Marvel's Voice Pride special. The one-shot brings together an all-star roster of writers and artists for an anthology centered on Wiccan, Hulkling, and their extended family.
The issue kicks off with Wiccan and Hulkling hosting an anniversary celebration at their new home, until Ultron shows up with an army looking to stage his own twisted family reunion involving Vision and Viv. Four stories make up the special:
Wyatt Kennedy and Stephen Byrne deliver the framing story, picking up directly from the events of Wiccan: Witches' Road as the anniversary party is crashed by Ultron and his forces.
Grammy-nominated musician Tegan Quin of Tegan and Sara makes her Marvel Comics debut alongside artist Luciano Vecchio in a story following Wiccan and Speed as the twin brothers square off against Ultron while navigating very different chapters of their lives.
Zoe Tunnell and Rachael Stott send Hulkling and his alternate-universe half-sister Phyla-Vell into battle together, with the two bonding over their shared Kree-Skrull heritage along the way.
Josh Trujillo and Bradley Clayton, both making their Marvel Comics debut, reunite Viv Vision and her father the Vision as Viv wrestles with questions of identity and what it means to be a synthezoid.
The issue also includes a bonus interview with Tegan and Sara by Angélique Roché.
Wiccan & Hulkling: Raid of Ultron #1 is on sale May 27th with a main cover by Russell Dauterman and variants by Luciano Vecchio, Javier Garrón, and Betsy Cola.
