First Look: Maxine Slaughter Returns in BOOM!’s ‘Book of Butcher’ #1
We’re somehow quickly approaching the FIFTH-year anniversary of Something is Killing the Children, the first entry into the Slaughterverse from James Tynion and Werther Dell’Edera. Fans will get to see more of Maxine Slaughter’s transition from a White to Black mask as BOOM! Studios and creatives from across the Slaughterverse franchises celebrate the anniversary with this special issue hitting shelves December 27th.

LOS ANGELES, CA (November 22, 2023) – BOOM! Studios today revealed a first look at BOOK OF BUTCHER #1. The award-winning, bestselling creative team of James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera, along with colorist Miquel Muerto (Something is Killing the Children), letterer AndWorld Design (Nightwing), and special guests Tate Brombal, Antonio Fuso, Chris Shehan, and Letizia Cadonici set the stage for Year Five of the Slaughterverse with this special issue in December 2023.
