First Look: ‘Rogue Sun’ #30 Features Guest Appearance by Spawn

Image Comics gave readers a first look at Rogue Sun #30 by Ryan Parrott, Nick Cotton, and Abel which kicks off the series’ newest arc with an appearance by Medieval Spawn. The issue hits shelves October 15th with a main cover by Stefano Simeone, along with variants by Abel and Simeone.

"When I first created Knight Sun, a medieval legacy version of Rogue Sun, I'd be lying if a part of me wasn't secretly hoping that, one day, just maybe they might encounter Medieval Spawn," said Parrott. "I knew it was probably impossible, but... here we are. Todd [McFarlane], Thomas [Healy], and everyone at Todd McFarlane Productions have been so generous, it really was an absolute dream to bring this crossover to life."

The issue whisks readers back to 1383, where two legendary heroes clash in a battle for the ages. Sir John of York, aka Medieval Spawn, pursues the terrifying entity known as The Withered, but Caleb Hawthorne, the revered Knight Sun, and his loyal squire, are also determined to hunt down the monster. This historic showdown between two Image Comics icons sets the stage for an unforgettable confrontation. Will Medieval Spawn succeed in his deadly quest, or will Knight Sun intervene?
