First Look: ‘Transformers’ #24, Daniel Warren Johnson’s Final Issue
Skybound and Image Comics gave readers a first glimpse at two interior pages from Transformers #24, the final issue from series creator Daniel Warren Johnson. Joining Johnson on the issue, which hits shelves September 10th, will be joined by artist Jorge Corona, colorist Mike Spicer, and letterer Rus Wooton.
Johnson also provides the main cover for the issue, along with Spicer on colors, and variants are provided by Corona & Spicer, David Nakayama, Jeff Spokes, Pye Parr, and a wraparound cover by Johnson and Spicer.
Transformers #24 sees the climactic final battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron and sets up the next era of the Autobots vs. Decepticons for the new creative team of Robert Kirkman and Dan Mora, who take over the series with Issue #25 in October.
