Frank Miller Returns to ‘Spawn’ Universe With Two New Covers

It’s been 25 years since Frank Miller last provided a cover for a Spawn Universe title (his last came in 2000 for Spawn #100), but Image Comics announced that he’ll provide not one, but two covers for The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #3. Even more exciting is that one of the covers will be a collaboration with Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. This cover, which be the duo’s first cover art collaboration since they partnered on Wizard Magazine #32 in 1994, will be a 1:25 black-and-white incentive variant.

“Frank has made an historic mark on our industry and to be able to work with him once again after decades… I feel like a giddy kid again,” McFarlane said.

Miller added: “Todd and I got into comics for the exact same reason: the sheer joy of making them. Every once in a while, we get to do it together. We’re like a couple of kids.”

The Curse of Sherlee Johnson #3 hits shelves September 17th and you can see both of Miller’s covers below!
