Marvel Teases Major Series Announcements for NYCC

Throughout the past week, Marvel has been teasing new series which the publisher will be sharing more on at next month’s NYCC. Let’s recap all the titles we know about so far:

'Fall of the House of X' and 'Rise of the Powers of X'

The Krakoan Age, which launched with House of X #1 in June 2019, has been one of the longest-running eras in Marvel Comics over the past decade or so but all good things must come to an end. The first tease we saw signaled Krakoa’s swan song is fast approaching with two titles likely to usher in, or even wrap-up, the current X-Men universe created by Jonathan Hickman. Fall of the House of X and Rise of the Powers of X directly play off Hickman’s House of X and Powers of X series and will likely play out in a similar dual fashion. Gerry Duggan and Lucas Werneck will handle Fall, while Kieron Gillen and R.B. Silva will handle Rise.

‘Avengers: Twilight’

It looks like the X-Men won’t be the only ones facing their final hours over the coming months. Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña will deliver the final days of the Avengers in this “new vision” of the team.

‘Resurrection of Magneto’

After a valiant and heroic death in X-Men Red #7, it seems not even Orchis can keep Magneto down for long. But did his death really mean anything if he’s being brought back this quickly? Al Ewing and Luciano Vecchio will attempt to make his death not have been in vein and earn this comeback.

‘Ultimate Spider-Man’

Bringing things back to Jonathan Hickman, the architect of Krakoa will take on this new project spinning out of his Ultimate Invasion limited series (which wraps up next week). He’ll be joined by artist Marco Checchetto as the duo relaunches Ultimate Spider-Man as part of a brand new Ultimate Universe.
