Marvel's Stormbreakers Tackle the Hellfire Gala With Costume Swap Variant Covers
Marvel announced eight Hellfire Costume Swap variant covers from this year’s Stormbreakers arriving across titles in July. The covers are timed to the launch of X-Men: The Hellfire Murder #1 and this year's masquerade-themed Hellfire Gala. Each cover depicts a hero in another Marvel character's costume and the full costume swap roster includes: Spider-Gwen as Silk, She-Hulk as Black Widow, Iron Man as Hawkeye, Laura Kinney as Patch, Moon Knight as Black Knight, Scarlet Witch as Polaris (Malice), Miles Morales as Bucky Barnes, and Thor as Ant-Man.
The current Stormbreakers class is Alessandro Cappuccio (Ultimate Wolverine), Netho Diaz (X-Men), Simone Di Meo (X-Men of Apocalypse), Juan Frigeri (Ultimates), Gurihiru (Jeff the Land Shark), Jonas Scharf (Ultimate Endgame), Geoff Shaw (Wade Wilson: Deadpool), and Luciano Vecchio (Uncanny X-Men). The Stormbreakers program launched in 2020, evolving from Marvel's Young Guns initiative, and has now recognized 36 artists over 15 years, including alumni Steve McNiven, Jim Cheung, Sara Pichelli, and Ryan Stegman.
