New Arc Brings ‘Captain America’ to Present Day

Marvel Comics announced that the second arc of Chip Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti’s new run Captain America will begin when issue #6 drops in December. While the first five-issue arc revisited Steve Rogers’ past battle with Doctor Doom, the new arc will bring the book to the present day and the ramifications of Doom’s defeat in One World Under Doom. Frank Alpizar and Delio Diaz will join Schiti as guest artists during this new arc.

This next chapter will also introduce four new characters who join Captain America to form the “United Captains” — a group meant to keep Latveria from spiraling without it’s leader. But are the motives of Captain Kingdom, Captain France, Red Widow, and The Star really what they seem?

Check out Valerio Schiti’s main cover for Captain America #6, along with a foil variant cover by Ivan Tao, and Schiti’s design sheets for the new United Captains ahead of the issues release on December 17th!
