Tom King and Peter Gross Team Up for New Series ‘Animal Pound’

BOOM! Studios announced that multi-Eisner-winning writer Tom King, Eisner-nominated artist Peter Gross, Eisner-nominated colorist Tamra Bonvillain, and Eisner-nominated letterer Clayton Cowles will join forces for ANIMAL POUND which will debut later this year. The series is a retelling of Animal Farm, the classic George Orwell allegory.

“Animal Pound is the most ambitious story I’ve ever told, and I feel like a fool for trying to do it,” said Tom King. “But the story came to me strong, and with Peter drawing, I know we’ll pull it off; we’ll make something as insane, stunning, and frightful as the times we live in.”

ANIMAL POUND #1 will release on December 20th with a main cover by Gross and variant covers by Yuko Shimizu, Gabriel H. Walta, Bill Sienkiewicz, Skottie Young, and more to be revealed in the coming weeks.
