A Brand New Era of the Invincible Universe Begins in ‘Capes’ #7 First Look
Skybound and Image Comics shared a first look at Capes #7, the start of an all-new story arc from writer Benito Cereno and artist Mark Englert, with backup stories by Invincible co-creators Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker.
With Invincible away fighting the Viltrumite War and the new Guardians of the Globe locked in battle with The Order, the spotlight falls on Capes, Inc. as they step up to become the face of superhero crime-fighting. But a mistake by Bolt may already be putting everything at risk before the mission even begins.
The issue also marks the first appearance of Ella Mental, a brand-new Invincible Universe character from the upcoming Invincible VS game, debuting in the first chapter of a new series of backup stories by Kirkman and Walker.
Capes #7 is on sale May 27th. The main cover is by Englert, with variants by Conor Hughes, Gleb Melnikov, Sweeney Boo, Viktor Bogdanovic, and Cory Walker and Patricio Delpeche.
