Barry Windsor-Smith's ‘Weapon X’ Gets an Oversized Black-and-White HC Edition
Dark Horse Books announced Marvel Black & White: Barry Windsor-Smith's Weapon X, a 192-page oversized hardcover collecting Windsor-Smith's Weapon X storyline, originally serialized across Marvel Comics Presents #72 through #84. The collection is the first in a planned line of archival black-and-white editions of classic Marvel Comics stories from Dark Horse Books.
The storyline follows Logan's brutal transformation from a troubled man into a living weapon, tracing the origins of the Weapon X program. Presenting Windsor-Smith's art stripped of color puts his draftsmanship front and center, and the edition supplements the main story with additional Windsor-Smith work from the Bronze Era: The Uncanny X-Men #205 and #214. The collection also includes archival materials, scans of original artwork, and a new essay from comics historians Chris Ryall and John Lind.
Marvel Black & White: Barry Windsor-Smith's Weapon X arrives on November 24, 2026 in a 9 x 12" hardcover format for $60, available at bookstores, comic shops, Dark Horse Direct, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
