IDW Announces ‘Beneath the Trees’ Halloween Special
IDW announced a Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees Halloween anthology one-shot, with series creator Patrick Horvath bringing in a star-studded lineup of greators to tell new stories set in Woodbrook. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news first.
The Halloween special pulls in contributors from across the indie horror world. Writers include James Tynion IV (Something Is Killing the Children, Exquisite Corpses), Tony Fleecs (Feral, Stray Dogs), and Che Grayson (Absolute Catwoman), among others. Artists include Dave Wachter (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and Jared Cullum (Usagi Yojimbo).
"Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees is one of my favorite comics of the past few years, and it's a pleasure to be invited to have a bit of gruesome fun in this killer, off-kilter world Patrick has created," said Tynion IV.
For anyone new to the series: Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees follows Samantha Strong, a bear living in the anthropomorphic animal community of Woodbrook who leads a quiet life running a hardware store and who also just so happens to be a serial killer.
The Halloween special hits shelves October 7th with covers by Horvath, Tony Fleecs, Peach Momoko, and DH Gonzo. Check them out below!
