Deadpool and Punisher Collide in "Big Guns" Crossover Event
Marvel announced "Big Guns," a four-part crossover running through Benjamin Percy's Wade Wilson: Deadpool and Punisher runs, with art by Geoff Shaw on the Deadpool chapters and José Luis Soares on the Punisher chapters. The crossover was revealed today to mark 616 Day.
The story starts in Wade Wilson: Deadpool #8 on September 2 and continues in Punisher #8 on September 9, with the back half of the crossover running through Wade Wilson: Deadpool #9 and Punisher #9 in October. Covers for the first two chapters are by Geoff Shaw and David Marquez, with the opening half of Josemaria Casanovas' four-part connecting variant set. Check them out below!
The crossover begins when one of Deadpool's jobs goes wrong and lands him in the Punisher's sights. As Wade takes on one of the biggest contracts of his career, Frank Castle comes looking to settle a score, and the two end up locked in a fight neither one walks away from clean. A mysterious third party is pulling strings behind the scenes, steering both men toward each other on purpose.
