First Look at New Fantasy Series ‘Author Immortal’
Image Comics shared a first look The Author Immortal #1 from writer Frank Barbiere and artist Morgan Beem. The new fantasy series will launch with an oversized, 40-page debut issue featuring variants by Yuko Shimizu and Jorge Corona and hits shelves October 1st.
In The Author Immortal, Hector Ramirez, a struggling author, gets a chance to revive his favorite boyhood fantasy series. However, he soon realizes books’ original writer mysteriously disappeared into his own fictional world, Hector finds himself pulled into a realm where stories take on a life of their own. As he navigates this world, Hector must confront the darker side of storytelling, where characters will stop at nothing to control their own destinies.
