T’Challa’s Space Saga Continues in Post-‘Imperial’ Limited Series

On the heels of the Imperial War: Black Panther one-shot, Marvel Comics announced Black Panther: Intergalactic from writer Victor LaValle and artist Stefano Nesi. The four-issue series is part of the post-Imperial line of stories that will continue to reshape the Marvel cosmos.

The series follows T'Challa, the King of Wakanda, as he navigates a galaxy-spanning conflict and confronts threats as he tries to return to his home and throne. Meanwhile, his sister Shuri works to find him while dealing with the chaos unfolding in Wakanda. With T'Challa's absence, forces emerge to circle and vie for power.

"When Jonathan Hickman invited me to work on the Black Panther Imperial one-shot, I jumped because it might be my only chance to write T'Challa. But then I got BLACK PANTHER: INTERGALACTIC, and I am here for it. T'Challa has had some hard times, real lows; he's learned from being down, and now he's ready to come up. Become a king again? Maybe. Or maybe even something more,” LaValle said.

Marvel also teased cover art and exciting developments for other Imperial spin-off series. Planet She-Hulk #2 will see Jennifer Walters continue facing the daunting challenge of bringing peace to Sakaar. Meanwhile, Nova’s new bounty hunting for hire trail leads him to an old enemy in Nova: Centurion #2. Both comics hit shelves this December.
