First Look: ‘Memories of Giselle’, a Haunting Debut Graphic Novel
Image Comics shared preview pages from Memories of Giselle, the debut graphic novel from cartoonist Katia Vecchio. The book follows a brother and sister navigating a childhood marked by hidden abuse, silence, and loss. At the center of it is Giselle, haunted by the memory of her late grandmother and a single recurring image she can't shake, an empty boat that holds the truth she has spent years pushing down. As adolescence pulls her into new and disorienting territory, the buried pieces of her past start falling into place.
Memories of Giselle is on sale June 17 at comic shops and July 14 at bookstores.
