New Spider-Man Team-Up Series From Kevin Smith and Andy McElfresh Announced

Marvel announced Spider-Man/Hulk: Fire and Brimstone, a four-issue limited series written by Kevin Smith and Andy McElfresh with art and cover by R.B. Silva. The series kicks off when an Easter Mass in Central Park is crashed by Mole Man and a gang of Man-themed supervillains, pulling Peter Parker into a fight that quickly grows much stranger. When the dust settles, Spider-Man teams up with Matt Murdock to learn that Bruce Banner has decided to tackle his Hulk problem the old-fashioned way: with an exorcism.

"I've played with Peter Parker and swung with Spider-Man before, but this is the first time I'm having Hulk issues," said Smith. "Andy and I are dropping two of Marvel's most well-known scientists into a spiritual story of Biblical proportions as we exorcise the Incredible Hulk — and I'm not talking cross-fit!"

Spider-Man/Hulk: Fire and Brimstone #1 (of 4) is on sale August 19. Foil variant covers are by Marco Checchetto, with additional variants by Rose Besch, Ryan Stegman, and Skottie Young.
