If Dracula and Berserk Had a Baby, It Would Look Like Image's New Series ‘Regicide’
Image Comics announced Regicide, a new ongoing dark fantasy series from writer Patrick Kindlon and artist Ludovic Lalliat. The series follows a farmhand pulled out of his quiet rural life when village elders send him on a dangerous mission alongside a mysterious stranger: travel to the capital and assassinate the Transylvanian viceroy.
"Ludovic and I are going for it on this one," said Kindlon. "True monster-of-the-issue storytelling where you are guaranteed sensational and sensual battles for the souls of our heroes every month! Violence you can feel in a world so dripping with evil the droplets will hit your head as you read! It's submit to the Impaler or die on a pike!"
Regicide #1 is on sale August 12th. Covers for issue #1 are by Lalliat, Atomcyber, Kerbcrawlerghost, and a blank sketch variant.
