Marvel Revealed Two ‘Queen in Black’ One-Shots from Al Ewing
Last week, Marvel announced two Queen in Black tie-in one-shots, both written by event series writer Al Ewing and with main covers by Pasqual Ferry.
Queen in Black: Hela #1, with art by Carlos Magno, reveals Hela’s ascendency to the throne, including how she defeated Knull. The one-shot takes place during Ewing’s Immortal Thor era. Queen in Black: Thor #1, with art by Sergio Davila, is set in Ewing’s current Mortal Thor time following Hela as she sets her sights on Sigurd Jarlson. Both issues are described as essential to the broader event story and will have lasting consequences for Ewing's Thor saga.
Queen in Black: Hela #1 is on sale July 8. Queen in Black: Thor #1 is on sale August 5.
