Preview: T’Challa Becomes A Vigilante in Black Panther #1

Black Panther #1 | Marvel Comics

T'Challa was banished from Wakanda after being accused of treason in the previous Black Panther series by John Ridley, starting from Black Panther #5. That controversial storyline ended with T’Challa as an outcast after the Avengers discovered his sleeper cell program and demanded that he be held accountable. T'Challa agreed to step down as Black Panther and Wakandan King, and he was banished from the country.

This new series looks, with the new creative team of Eve L. Ewing and Chris Allen, looks to explore how T’Challa can still serve the country he loves without any of titles.
