Vampirella and Red Sonja Team-Up in New One-Shot
Dynamite Entertainment announced Vampirella vs. Red Sonja: Red City, a new special from Eisner Award winner Chuck Brown and artist Paulo H. Mel, arriving August 2026.
The special returns to the shared universe established across Dan Abnett's Red Sonja: The Superpowers, Vampirella: The Dark Powers, and Vampirella vs. Red Sonja trilogy. In the new story, Vampirella and Red Sonja find themselves stranded together in a place called the Red City, a chaotic mix of vampires, barbarians, and magic with no obvious way out. They'll need to work together, recruiting allies including Dyna Might along the way, to make it home.
"The art, plot, and settings of Vampirella vs. Red Sonja take the characters back to their roots in a melting pot of Warriors, Blood, Swords, Magic, and Bikinis," said Brown.
Vampirella vs. Red Sonja: Red City #1 is on sale August 2026 from Dynamite Entertainment Covers are by Sebastian Piriz and Diego Yapur, with a three-cover cosplay set by model Ivy Cosplay, who portrays each heroine separately before appearing alongside herself as both in a combined third cover. A mystery blind bag containing three limited-edition variant covers is also available through local comic shops.
