New ‘Three Worlds / Three Moons’ Tie-In Announced

Dark Horse Comics revealed Arrivals, a three-issue story set in Jonathan Hickman, Nick Spencer, Mike del Mundo, and Mike Huddleston's Three Worlds / Three Moons universe, with each issue handed to a different creative team.

The series follows the children of astronaut and explorer Tajo Vallar, called home to reunite and crack a new mystery a generation after their father vanished, though they have to cross the galaxy to get there first. A framing story by Hickman and Spencer, drawn by Huddleston, runs through all three issues, and Huddleston provides the cover art for each. Arrivals #1 (of 3) is on sale October 21st.

The first issue pairs two Hickman and Spencer stories: one drawn by James Stokoe and set on Akva, the planet nearest the sun, and another drawn by Christian Ward about the Vojoganto, the universe's space-whale transit system. Arianna Consonni and Nick Filardi color those stories, with lettering by AndWorld Design. Issues #2 and #3 carry stories written by Spencer with art from Juni Ba, Mirka Andolfo, Matias Basla, and Huddleston, and coloring split among Huddleston, Consonni, Filardi, and Basla.

Arrivals fits into a larger rollout for the universe, which began as a digital project at 3w3m.com before Dark Horse picked up the line. The first two one-shots, Foundations and Shift, are already available for preorder ahead of their July 8th and September 2nd releases.
