Star Wars Pride Variant Covers Are Back
Marvel and Lucasfilm announced a new three-part connecting Pride variant cover series by artist Rickie Yagawa, spanning three June Star Wars releases. The artwork brings together 18 LGBTQIA+ characters from across the entire Star Wars universe, spanning films, television, publishing, and Marvel comics. The three issues carrying the connecting covers are:
Star Wars: Rogue One - Jyn Erso #1 (on sale 6/3)
Star Wars: Shadow of Maul #4 (on sale 6/10)
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Echoes of the Empire #3 (on sale 6/24)
"It was a privilege to participate in this project!" said Yagawa. "One of the things I love most about Star Wars galaxy is the diversity of characters found throughout its long history. This was a really cool and special experience for me."
The full lineup of characters featured across the connecting cover, from left to right, includes Vildar Mac, Terec and Ceret, Mother Aniseya, Mother Koril, Tey Sirrek, Cinta Kaz and Vel Sarth, Sabé, Doctor Aphra, Just Lucky, Ariole Yu, Larma D'Acy and Wrobie Tyce, Rae Sloane, Losha and T'Onga, and Sana Starros.
